Westminster Canterbury of Hampton Roads embodies the concept of a full-service retirement facility that is committed to helping residents maintain their individual independence for as long as possible. The three-winged, 14-story apartment tower with penthouse is designed to provide independent living within attractive apartments, each with a waterfront view. Interior public spaces provide a club-like atmosphere for community or group activities, and living areas, corridors and small group areas maintain a residential scope. Building materials and systems are high-quality residential materials, carefully selected for appropriateness and durability. The soft, warm residential scale is carried into the three-story, 90-bed long-term care facility. The building includes a 192- seat dining room, convenience store, a chapel that can be expanded for community activities, a library and recreation facilities that include an attached year-round swimming pool and outdoor terraces.
