The
new Performing Arts Center responds to the architectural style and context of
surrounding urban university campus buildings in terms of massing, orientation
and use of campus brick. It seats approximately 1,800, with conference capability
for an additional 150 people. The facility was designed to accommodate a broad
range of programs, including stage plays, musical performances, lectures and
conferences. The center features a full stage, concert hall, orchestra and state
of the art sound and lighting equipment. Lower and upper lobbies showcase a
grand staircase, marble floors, and crystal chandeliers.
